Roy and I are both from Northern California. He and his beautiful family still live there while I've migrated north. When you grow up in that environment it's kind of hard not to be influenced by your surroundings. I was raised on Johnny Cash and The Doobie Brothers but before I could get my hands on that first Bouncing Souls record or a Social Distortion cassette I learned to play the songs I heard on the radio. When you grow up in early 90's NorCal, this is what was on the radio. On my way to school. On the bus. In my Dad's truck and every summer at the county fair, this is what you heard. Country music of the early 90's. Mullets, Flame shirts and lace up boots with the little fringe thing on the toe. I hope you enjoy it.
